Come and Visit Lochmara for the whole day to Explore:
After the 30th November please book our 0900 to 5.00 pm option.
- Depart Picton for a 20 minute Boat cruise to Lochmara.
- Marine mammal and sea birds (little blue penguins) viewing enroute to Lochmara.
- Explore our 11 acres of native bush trails and conservation projects.
- Free use of the kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and a safe swimming beach
- Start our daily walking tour at the Tuatara and Gecko enclosures at 1.30 pm, then visit our other native species and farm
animals - During peak times order early at the cafe as there can be a delay
- Cafe art gallery and sculpture trail.
- Queen Charlotte Track Panoramic Lookout hike (3 hours return, Track pass required $20.00pp) or walk on our own tracks at no
extra cost. - Depart from Lochmara at 5.00pm.
Underwater Observatory
- Book our fully guided tours of approx. 45 minutes aboard the floating Underwater Observatory.
- Be well informed and entertained by our passionate fully qualified guides.
- The tour includes a hands-on experience at the seaside touch tank.
- Guided access to the underwater observatory, and a potential stingray encounter subject to whether the wild stingray wish to
see you or not! - You may book this with your day trip as an extra.
